Recently I underwent the huge task of re-writing all the front-end code for Interlopers and improving the site design as well. It was a lot of work and also a lot of fun so I thought I might share some aspects of the process.

Forget IE6, use more efficient CSS

Thanks largely to IE6 a surprising number of developers never utilise CSS to its full potential. You can navigate the DOM with so much more than class, ID and element selectors.

Worrying trend on job sites
