Recent happenings and good news!
I’ve neglected the blog for quite some time (over a month I think?) but I’ve had the busiest few weeks ever…
Not only did I have to move to a new flat during July, I also headed off to Eastern Europe for a two week tour with my band. It was a fantastic experience and the people over in those countries are so accommodating it’s untrue. As well as that they went crazy for our performances and we had a lot of fun. I’ve popped a few photos up on Flickr! if you’re interested.
That’s enough talk about being in a band and doing cool things, this is a techy geek blog after all.
Over the last month or so I’ve decided to try and nestle myself back into full-time employment. I’m finding it harder and harder to maintain my freelance business and learn new things. Most of the time I’m shooting for business, quoting, meeting etc and the things I love doing are taking a back seat.
So I’m chuffed to reveal I’ve landed a job at the BBC!
I’ll be starting on the 25th and working in the BBC Worldwide branch and after having three interviews I’ve had a chance to get a feel for the place and it’s a superb office with really laid back and cool people. I’ll be continuing my blog of course but now I’ll have many more interesting things to discuss as I’m sure web development at the BBC has it’s own set of challenges.
