Lifecantwait.com
The Sunsilk Life Can't Wait website was a campaign based around interviewing various women on how Sunsilk has helped them change their hair and attitude. The website is a collection of HTML, CSS, Flash and ASP technology, and with the campaign being global the site has been translated into several versions.
About the site
The Life Can’t Wait website is a promotional site that presents a funky and eye-catching design to women who are interested in making a difference with their hair styles. The website uses a combination of HTML, CSS & Flash to provide a collection of interviews with women who have taken part as well as fun on-line tools that allow the user to upload a photo of their face and add different hair styles.
The campaign is on a global scale and because of this the site can be browsed in various different languages. The site is powered by ASP and uses a custom built CMS backend to allow updates to the website. This includes importing new language text into the site via XML and updating site graphics with translated versions.
Although the site uses large amounts of Flash video there is still an accessible and search engine friendly version laid out in semantic HTML.
